St. Petersburg engagement session | downtown & Dali Museum | St. Petersburg wedding photographer

We recently photographed this beautiful engagement session with Dana and Rob, who will be getting married in March. For their engagement session, they picked downtown St. Petersburg. Many people have a misconception about St. Pete and think that it is still a sleepy little city for retirees. As experienced St. Petersburg wedding photographers, we know that is no longer the case! St. Petersburg is now a vibrant city with a vibrant nightlife and lots of great street cafes, art galleries and world class museums. It also boasts some great parks and spectacular waterfront views.

We started of the session on the grounds of the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, which is housed in a very beautiful building with some great architectural features. After shooting there for a little bit, we moved on to Straub Park next door where there are some amazing banyan trees with some amazing trunk and root structures. After getting lots of cool shots at the museum and the park, we took a break to let our couple change clothes and then headed south to the new Salvador Dali Museum. The new building housing so many priceless paintings of this great artist, is itself an amazing feast for the eyes. Inspired by the Salvador Dali surroundings, we experimented with many different angles and composition elements. Rob and Dana were very open to our artistic vision and ideas, and we just spent the afternoon having a lot of fun with this awesome couple. The hours melted away and before we knew it sunset was upon us. After doing some romantic sunset pictures we called it a day. We can’t wait until their March wedding!

Video | Ybor City engagement session | Tampa wedding photographer

Video slideshow of recent engagement session we photographed in Ybor City. As experienced Tampa wedding photographers, we just love photographing in Ybor City. It is located just minutes from downtown Tampa, and is a great place to spend an afternoon. We had so much fun walking around Ybor and discovering some cool new spots to photograph. Dennis and Josie were both so much fun to hang out with and were always open to all of our photo ideas. We are thrilled by the results and cannot wait to photograph their upcoming wedding at the Powel Crosley Estate.

Feather Sound Country Club wedding | Clearwater wedding photographer

Question: How does an experienced Tampa wedding photographer spend their new years eve? Answer: Photographing an amazing wedding with an awesome couple and all of their fun family and friends!! This was such a fun day. We started off at the Feather Sound Community Church, where we took pictures of Heather getting ready and sharing some fun times with her mom and brides maids. The ceremony was very beautiful and officiated by a good friend who drove down from Gainesville just for this couple.

After the ceremony, we drove over to the Feather Sound Country Club which was only a few minutes away. Once there, everyone enjoyed an amazing dinner and danced the night away to the super talented DJ Eric Harding from Grant Hemmond & Associates. DJ Eric Harding kept the music pumping and the dance floor packed until well past midnight and the end of the reception. We finished off the evening photographing their grand exit as all of their friends and family saluted with sparklers. We also took the opportunity to take some fun pictures of Heather and Drew drawing a heart with their sparklers. If you ask us, we couldn’t have asked for a better or more fun way to ring in 2012!!
