St. Petersburg engagement session | St. Petersburg wedding photographers | Eva Photo Studio

We have been non-stop busy over the past few months, which is a good thing. However, it also means that we are a tiny, little bit behind on sharing some of our past photo sessions with you. The following session was done at night in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. We did did just before Christmas and Straub Park was beautifully decorated in lots of pretty lights. As regular St. Petersburg engagement session photographers, we visit this area often and it is a favorite with most of our clients. Look at the pictures below and you will see why!

St. Petersburg engagement session | downtown & Dali Museum | St. Petersburg wedding photographer

We recently photographed this beautiful engagement session with Dana and Rob, who will be getting married in March. For their engagement session, they picked downtown St. Petersburg. Many people have a misconception about St. Pete and think that it is still a sleepy little city for retirees. As experienced St. Petersburg wedding photographers, we know that is no longer the case! St. Petersburg is now a vibrant city with a vibrant nightlife and lots of great street cafes, art galleries and world class museums. It also boasts some great parks and spectacular waterfront views.

We started of the session on the grounds of the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, which is housed in a very beautiful building with some great architectural features. After shooting there for a little bit, we moved on to Straub Park next door where there are some amazing banyan trees with some amazing trunk and root structures. After getting lots of cool shots at the museum and the park, we took a break to let our couple change clothes and then headed south to the new Salvador Dali Museum. The new building housing so many priceless paintings of this great artist, is itself an amazing feast for the eyes. Inspired by the Salvador Dali surroundings, we experimented with many different angles and composition elements. Rob and Dana were very open to our artistic vision and ideas, and we just spent the afternoon having a lot of fun with this awesome couple. The hours melted away and before we knew it sunset was upon us. After doing some romantic sunset pictures we called it a day. We can’t wait until their March wedding!

Sneak Peek!!! We just recently photographed a beautiful engagement session for Monica and Brett. We met up with them just after sunrise in downtown St. Petersburg. We had drank some Red Bull on the way down and had to laugh when we saw Brett and Monica get out of their car with a can of Red Bull and a mug of coffee! But getting up was worth it as early and was very comfortable since the sun hadn’t had a chance to start warming things up yet.

We started photographing outside of the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts which has an amazing exterior. We then walked beside the waterfront towards the beautiful Vinoy Hotel and then continued photographing on Straub Park. After getting some amazing photos of the park and the waterfront, we headed for Starbucks to get some more coffee and just relax for a little bit. After the much needed caffeine boost, we headed downtown for a more “urban” feel. We photographed in front of the Vintage Ultra Lounge and some on Central Avenue. We had such a great time just walking around and talking with Monica and Brett, that time just seemed to fly by. We can’t wait until their November wedding!
