Downtown Tampa engagement session | Tampa wedding photographers

This is a great Downtown Tampa engagement session we photographed recently. We had so much fun at several different locations throughout the downtown Tampa area.   This couple has an amazing personality and are constantly smiling [which makes our jobs easy]!  They were up for any ideas we came up with and the entire session was so much fun.

We started off near the Tampa Museum of Art where we photographed the above image.  We headed over to Curtis Hixon Park where we did some fun pictures on the lawn and then the couple quickly changed into Miami Dolphins jerseys [they are huge fans] and we took some fun [and romantic] pictures of them in Dolphins gear. Afterwards, they changed into their last outfit pairings and we walked over to the Tampa Theater for some pictures there.  Later we walked a few blocks further and found an amazing abandoned building which made for a dramatic backdrop for some of their images.  We experimented with some different angles [one had us lying on the ground shooting through the grass] and we really love how those turned out.  We had such a fun time and can’t wait until we get to photograph their wedding.

Snell Isle engagement session| Downtown St. Petersburg engagement session| Tampa wedding photographers

Beautiful engagement session in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. We started off at the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Art and then strolled north through Straub Park where they have some amazing banyan trees. Further north there is a great little sitting area which provided some great photo opportunities from lots of different angles. Since there was a music festival and there were tons of people at the Vinoy Park, we decided to head over to Snell Isle for some sunset pictures. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way these pictures turned out. Love the way the sun set below the bridge and water horizon line. As experienced Tampa wedding photographers, we love this time of year for engagement sessions. Even though we are in the middle of our busy wedding season, we try to do as many engagement sessions during the month of March and April when Florida weather is amazing. Not too hot or cold and with little to no humidity.

We look forward to next January when this awesome couple get married at the Museum of Fine Arts!

This is the video slideshow of many of our favorite images from the recent engagement session we did for Laura and Eddie. We had so much fun walking around downtown Tampa and finding some really great locations for some cool shots. We were so proud of Laura too, who overcame her fear of heights to pose for some of our favorite shots overlooking the Hillsborough River and the lovely & distinctive minarets. We also went to the other side of the river banks and shot in the opposite direction and showcased the amazing Tampa city skyline. Got lots of great images and had a lot of fun in the process. We are really looking forward to their June wedding!

We love the colors and shapes in this next picture!!

Some of our favorite images from recent engagement session that we photographed in downtown Tampa and also on the grounds of the University of Tampa. We met Jessica and Richard in front of the Glazers Childrens museum on a cold December morning. We got started by photographing at the Curtis Hixon Park and riverside part of the Tampa Museum of Art. As experienced Tampa wedding photographers, we love both of these locations because they offer some amazing backgrounds for our images. Luckily after a few minutes, everyone forgot about the chilly temperatures. We had a lot of fun talking and getting to know Jessica and Richard better.

After getting some great shots on this side of the river, we headed over to the campus of the University of Tampa, where we also captured some beautiful family photos with their precious little daughter. It was nice getting the opportunity to capture some great images of them and their daughter. Just seeing how they interacted with her and how much they love her, was so heartwarming! We love the way the pictures turned out. We had so much fun during our photo session and are eagerly looking forward to their April wedding at the Lake Club at Lakewood Ranch.
